October 2nd Protest Coverage from Madison, WI, Austin, TX, and Washington DC

MADISON, October 7, 2021 — WLRN received reports from radical feminist contingents at October 2nd Women’s Marches and Pro-Abortion Rights Rallies around the country including from Madison, WI, Austin, TX, and Washington DC.

While the five women gathered with TERF Collective flyers and other radical feminist signs in DC encountered no incident with Trans Activists, other radical feminist protesters in Wisconsin and Texas, did.

WLRN was told by one of the women protesting in DC that the group had agreed to stay on the perimeter, giving out TERF Collective flyers and laying low so that there would be no clash with Trans Rights Activists.

Thanks to Jesika Gonzalez and Marian Rutigliano for these pics from DC. That’s Kara Dansky holding up the RBG sign.

The women in Austin, on the other hand, stood their ground throughout the onslaught of harassment that ensued once it became clear that their group was opposed to defining the word woman as anything other than ‘adult human female.’

WoLF was out in Austin!

In Madison, there were five women from the area and one male ally who hailed from the Milwaukee area Green Party. This group of six did face some harassment and heckling, but also stood strong and carried their banners all the way up State Street to the Capitol with the Bans Off Our Bodies local Women’s March.
