On July 29th, WLRN member aurora linnea, sat down with long-time author-activist Renate Klein, to discuss the topic of surrogacy and the implications it has for women as a sex class. Renate is a biologist, sociologist, and feminist health activist who has been campaigning against surrogacy and other reproductive technologies since the early 1980s. She is the co-founder of FINRRAGE, the Feminist International Network of Resistance to Reproductive and Genetic Engineering, as well as co-founder and editor of Spinifex Press.

Renate’s 2017 book, Surrogacy: A Human Rights Violation, stands as necessary reading for all women concerned about reproductive exploitation.
